This HTML and ASP.NET solution provided the client with a professional corporate showcase. University of California Davis "Working with MediaQ turned out to be a solid investment"

An online virtual campus for the clients eLearning students. This project called for the online campus design as well as the Intro. to Visual Basic course.

This project called for a Cold Fusion solution, an appropriate and attractive design for a long-established educational establishment and an intuitive interface/navigation schema. Our principal also designed and taught online the very popular Introduction to Visual Basic course. Screenshot

Corporate eService Website

ExpressWare LLC "A rare combination of visual design and hard-core application development skills under one roof" The client required a conservative corporate site designed to convey stability and longevity for this start-up, while not being too edgy. The client site incorporates optimized imagery and embedded tables to provide a rich visual experience without a page loading overhead. The left-hand large banner panel is an optimized animated GIF to add a little eye candy and product messaging without imposing on the design. This site is database served using the MediaQ Content Server application. Screenshot

Comprehensive Website

California Family Fitness "Considerable improvement over our old site. Training was also excellent." Complete Web site redesign and overhaul. Given their CID logo and color palette, this new design provided an intuitive interface for clients to navigate through their many services and over 20 locations. Client required this site to be developed in Microsoft FrontPage to match their internal skillset. We created a complete visual design to match their corporate palette and play off their funky logo, and from this design built a FrontPage Web and Theme set. In addition, we developed an ASP backend to enable them to accept and manage subscriptions online and manage specification details of over 20 locations. Screenshot

Promotional Web Site

TurnSignal.biz "Thank you for showing us how this should be done" The client was a new start-up and wanted a clean design to sell into the financial analysis market. This was a design exercise to provide a logo, stationary, literature and web site identity package. The solution shown is the web site design. The client was provided with a complete corporate identity package, including a professional web site design, as shown. The exercise focused initially on a logo and color palette solution, and the web site, stationary and literature designs followed suit. Unfortunately the client opted to comlpete the project in-house. However, the work by MediaQ brought their board of directors to the realization that they needed a professional corporate image to reflect their business proposition. Screenshot

Formal Legal Web Site

O'Banion & Ritchey, LLP "Thank you for the quick turn-around and quality work." This law firm client required a formal web site design that reflected the professionalism of their firm and provided ease-of-use for their clients. In addition, the firm's principal wanted to maintain the site himself after it was deployed.

A clean professional “legal” look, reflecting their speciality in intellectual property law was designed. The site was implemented in FrontPage to facilitate in-house maintenance and updating. MediaQ developed several designs on our prototyping server for the client to review, and the site shown was chosen as their hands-down favorite.

This eServices company were hampered by a dreadful stock FrontPage template site. Corporate Extranet

Anderson Solone Inc. "Made a big difference for our client services" A client extranet to provide an earier, more user-friendly, alternative to FTP for client communications and digital delivery. This ASP solution provides for a username/password login for the client, placing them in a secure server location where they can view, open, list and upload files. The client can also create subfolders and manage the content of the account. The application only allows "safe" uploads, such as JPEG or GIF images, and Zipped files. Screenshot

Investment Solicitation Multimedia Presentation

Tower Records "Exactly what we needed...they were blown away." This multimedia presentation demonstrated to record company executives at presentations in New York, Los Angeles, London and Tokyo, the potential of Tower's proposed Online Listening Station. Built with Macromedia Director, this presentation showed a working prototype of Tower's proposed browser- and AOL-based Online Listening Stations (also designed by MediaQ). The presentation impressed the international music industry enough for them to bankroll the project. Screenshot

Multimedia Digital Video Delivery

Hewlett Packard "Amazing delivery turn-around for a top-notch quality product" This multimedia interface presented the digital (MPEG) versions of the client's promotional and training video collateral. The project had a very short fuse, and was turned-around within a week. The CD-ROM product passed their technical and CID watchdog group on first pass. Developed in Multimedia Fusion, the highly-graphical interface provides the user with custom visual controls with which to review the video content. Fusion was chosen for this project because of it's fast object-oriented approach to developing multimedia applications, and it's remarkably small executable file size and it's fast and responsive operation. Intel Corp. "You guys are terrific" A business card CD-ROM designed to showacse the new Pentium III features and technologies. Within the confined space of a business card CD-ROM, this fast-paced multimedia presentation animated a compelling story to match a professional narration and catchy soundtrack. Screenshot

Multimedia Manual

Integrated Surgical Systems "We saved a fortune in time and airfare by no longer having to send our technician out to our international clients for every small support issue." This multimedia product manual was installed on the workstation of their orthopedic robot, replacing a shelf full of binders and reference materials. Developed in Authorware, this sortable, manageable digital document provided an easy-to-use and illustrated set of operating instructions for the new user. Multimedia Marketing Tool

NEC America "A well-executed project" This multimedia product provided the client with an interactive and persuasive digital brochure and information resource for their fingerprint and biometrics products. This piece was a central part of their marketing push into the airline/airport industry. Built with a combination of Multimedia Fusion, Flash and Video technologies, this CD-ROM provided a very cost-effective high-impact marketing tool, and an effective leave-behind for the client's sales personnel. Olympus Corp. "MediaQ provided a quality product in a short period. It has proven to be a very cost effective marketing tool." This multimedia CD-ROM provided an interactive front-end interface and control for the viewing of the client's sales and training video. Designing an interactive interface that met the standards of the client's internal design team was the challenge. The product was created in Multimedia Fusion for a rapid turn-around and small executable footprint with minimal system overhead overhead to facilitate running on a wide range of target platforms. "An excellent rendering of an ideal product for our needs" A comprehensive collection of Pentium 4 marketing materials and data for Intel's reseller community, wrapped in an intuitive and easy-to-navigate interface. Developed in Multimedia Fusion, this interface had to meet Intel stringent CID requirements, while providing the user with an easy way to navigate through a large volume of collateral marketing materials. Intel needed an easy-to-use way to provide their international offices and agents with regionally-specific marketing materials and research white papers. The resulting CD-ROM met their needs. Created in Multimedia Fusion, this CD-ROM needed to provide an intuitive interface and a fast and responsive interface for a large collection of embedded documents. In addition, the application needed to launch the marketing materials and documents in their native applications. Furthermore, the application had to seamlessly integrate Web content, thus enabling the client to maintain up-to-date materials for the end user. Screenshot

Eyefinity Inc. "It was great working with MediaQ" An online set of narrated and animated tutorials designed to provide new clients with an instructional kick-start for their new claims processing account. This animated tutorial walks the client through the process of setting up an account and using the claims submission and tracking system. Built in Flash for online performance, this narrated piece animates the use of this complex product, while illustrating the features and benefits of the application. Screenshot

Online Streaming Video Instruction

Cal ISO "An elegant and unique solution to our needs." California ISO, the independent regulator of California's electric power distribution, needed an effective way to replicate their specialized employee instruction. Partnering with a video production company, MediaQ built an online campus within which Cal ISO employees could review their instructional videos.

An intuitive and interactive Web site was built around RealVideo format streaming versions of their training videos. The instruction was built as a Real SMIL presentation, streaming the video content, and scripting a time coded synchronization of slides, text and hyperlinks to match the context of the presentation.

Baypoint Innovations "Awesome job." This client needed to provide five complete sets of documents, each set on a floppy disk, including an interactive interface with which to present the documents. Built in Multimedia Fusion, this application, including 7 PDF and Word documents, weighed in at under the 1.44Mb limit. Multimedia Fusion provided a multimedia development tool with low filesize overhead. Screenshot

Precision Legal Graphics, Inc. "Clearly illustrated and expertly executed. Excellent job." Precision Legal Graphics required a 3-D animation depicting the scene of an accident, recreating the event to demonstrate the where liability lay in this case. A clear-cut case once illustrated with animation. Using a 3-D scale model of the building in question from a site survey and animating a humanoid manequin to depict the victim, it was clearly demonstrated that the victim was not at fault in the accident. Camlight Inc. "Wonderful job. Exactly as we needed it, and impressive animation skills." 3D animation generated from product drawings and photos of the fabrication in-progress. The client used this animation to demonstrate to their client (Kodak) how their bulk photo processing system would operate and create a multimedia user guide. Using technical drawings, draft user manuals and photos of the product in fabrication, we created a series of 3D animation fly-bys, close-up views and features being operated, in broadcast-quality digital video clips. The challenge was to create a realistic rendering of an actual product without ever seeing it. Screenshot
